Why do 99% of people fail to make their first sale online?

The answer is your beliefs.

Before you think this is some new-age philosophical post… check out this quick example that will prove it to you…

If you don’t believe you can make your first sale online… how much action are you going to take?

Not a lot right… you kind of just want to go through the motions and prove to yourself that you tried and it didn’t work.

Well… when you don’t believe you can make your first sale online, and you take little action… what kind of results do you usually get?

That’s right!

Crappy results.

When you get crappy results… what does that do to your belief?

You say, “see! I told you it doesn’t work” So your belief that this whole internet thing is a scam gets reinforced.

That’s not the worst part!

The worst part is that now your belief that making money online doesn’t work gets EVEN STRONGER… so you take even less action, get even worse results, and your negative belief gets reinforced even more!

This is what causes people to go on a downward spiral, and never make their first sale online.

The Good News!…

This works in the positive direction as well.

If you believe 100% that you will make your first sale online, and its just a matter of time while you improve little by little… how much action do you take?

You take massive action right?

Maybe what you do at first doesn’t work, but since you believe it must work… you keep switching your approach until you succeed.

You stay committed to your result, but flexible in your approach.

When you get good results…. you’re positive belief that this works is reinforced and you take even more action, and get even better results.

And now you are on the upward cycle!

So here is the order one more time.

1. Your beliefs

lead to…

2. Your Actions…

which leads to

3. Your Results…

which leads to

4. Reinforcing your positive or negative belief

Causing you to take more or less action based on your original belief…

And the cycle continues.

When people aren’t getting the results they want… they try to change their actions or habits, but that’s why most people fail.

You must start by changing your limiting beliefs that will sabotage your progress if you don’t.

There are a number of ways to do this, and it’s a lot easier than you might think.

My favorite is visualization. Visualize yourself consistently as if you already have what you want… you will begin to believe it.

That was an excellent read and very true.
It is nice to stand back sometimes and remember these points above.
I have had that feeling for all to long now. Only recently making my first commissions not to long ago.
I need to approach again with the belief i will succeed even more in the future.

Definitely true. Whenever I can believe in success, it happens. Sometimes I am “bored” to believe, and I make some down moves. It is a matter of mood. But then I take myself, and voilá, again it’s going high… So this is not Hokuspokus.
